How to make your life count (Encouragement Weekly Photo Challenge #11)

Life on Earth is too short for us to spend in bitterness, jealousy and regret. What happens, happens. Let us savour each moment, and make our lives count by helping others do the same. Let us accept ourselves for who we are, and do what makes us happy. Let us come alive and help other people come alive too!

How do you plan to make your life count?

Last week's encouragement: What makes you come alive?
Next: Don't lose hope

The Encouragement Weekly Photo Challenge is an online support system which seeks to speak to those who need words of encouragement, via photos.

  5. I plan to treat my blog like a business if I darn well want it to be one, travel as far and wide as possible ignoring the dirty/jealous looks I might get from sad folks stuck in the office. Ok that was harsh.
My mission is to stop overpopulation in it's tracks by having no kids of my own but adopting/sponsoring a starving child; helping the issue of overpopulation and childhood poverty rather than hurting it.

  11. I was in a bad place a little over a year ago and had tried to take my own life. It didn't work out I got hauled to the hospital and they made me better. My boyfriend at the time became my rock and gradually showed me how to love myself. A few months later we got pregnant, it was something we truly believed couldn't happen. He was married before and in another serious relationship he tried many many times to have a child and couldnt. When it happened for us it was a miracle. My entire life changed from that point, I used to drink heavily and smoke heavily and I guess it became my moment of redemption to finally get my s*** together.

    1. I know that probably seems like a bad situation, my boyfriend wasn't so well off either, but both of us pulled together, quit our bad habits and started working hard towards giving our daughter the life a child deserves. Now she's here and we cherish every moment together and every moment with her. I almost missed out on the most amazing journey of my life and now i appreciate every single day. I don't let anger or depression get the best of me and i try my hardest to make every day the fullest it can be. I know this is a super long post, but i just wanted to state you never know what kind of miracles are around tthe corner and everyday is a blessing

    1. They say if you do what you love you won't work for a day. I'm currently a teacher. At first it seemed like a very tedious job but I eventually loved talking to the students so it stopped feeling like work to me!
